Who says you can't do a lot with a little land? Gary Buker and Paula Spaight of Prairie Rose have created an oasis on their serene, park-like acreage in Martelle, Iowa that includes the production of diverce produce. On their small, yet huge garden grows blueberries, edamame beans, yellow shell beans, various colored dent corns, a whole variety of hot chili peppers, 3 varieties of garlic, and a small orchard of aronia berries. Free range chickens and a heard of goats are also found out in the pastures. The goats are retired from Paula and Gary's original business of making homestead cheeses. A guard llama watches over it all.
