Are you eager to connect to the land? Grow your own food in a way that sustains the natural environment? Create a more sustainable way of life? If yes, the Homegrown Lifestyle Network is for you!
The Homegrown Lifestyle Network is made up of those who have taken the Iowa State University Extension & Outreach’s Homegrown Lifestyle Program, plus their close friends & family. The Homegrown Lifestyle Program is for those individuals who are eager to connect to the land, grow their own food in a way that sustains their natural environment, and create a sustainable way of life. It is offered annually from March–May, and covers topics such as edible landscape design, trees, fruits, vegetables, food preservation, beekeeping, poultry, and much more.
The Homegrown Lifestyle Network is an extended learning opportunity that includes monthly tours, speakers, and other educational opportunities related to the topics covered by the Homegrown Lifestyle Program. Participants in the network are also able to learn from one another and share their experiences!
