We invite you to get involved with our programs!

The Homegrown Lifestyle Network is made up of those who have taken the Iowa State University Extension & Outreach’s Homegrown Lifestyle Program, plus their close friends & family. The Homegrown Lifestyle Program is for those individuals who are eager to connect to the land, grow their own food in a way that sustains their natural environment, and create a sustainable way of life. It is offered annually from March–May, and covers topics such as edible landscape design, trees, fruits, vegetables, food preservation, beekeeping, poultry, and much more.  The Homegrown Lifestyle Network is an extended learning opportunity that includes monthly tours, speakers, and other educational opportunities related to the topics covered by the Homegrown Lifestyle Program. Participants in the network are also able to learn from one another and share their experiences!

To join the Homegrown Lifestyle Network or to get more information, email eward@iastate.edu or call (319)377-9839.

Linn County ISU Extension also offers other quality programs that might interest you including Master Gardeners, 4-H Youth Development, Play & Learn, Spend Smart Eat Smart, and much more!  Find out more at http://www.extension.iastate.edu/linn/ .
